Bollywood’s evergreen star Kajol added another feather to her cap at the 70th Filmfare Awards 2025, held on Saturday at Ahmedabad’s EKA Arena. She won her 7th Filmfare trophy, and to mark the special moment, she shared a heartwarming throwback on Instagram with her long-time co-star Shah Rukh Khan.
The post featured a nostalgic picture from 1995, when Kajol first won the coveted black lady for ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. Alongside it, she added a recent picture from last night’s ceremony with Shah Rukh.

Kajol’s caption summed it up simply and sweetly: “That was then. This is now.. Most epic throwback ever!! Thank you @filmfare for my 7th black lady.”
The prestigious trophy was presented by veteran actor Anupam Kher, who took to social media to share a video from the stage. The clip shows Kher handing the award to Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan, with filmmaker Karan Johar and host Maniesh Paul by their side.
In her speech, Kajol expressed heartfelt gratitude: “I am very grateful to be here on this stage with some of my favourite close friends, and yes, the ’90s were so much fun for us.”
Kher also shared his excitement online, writing: “Thank you @filmfare for a great evening celebrating brilliance of cinema! It was an absolute pleasure to hand over the #Filmfare lady to @karanjohar @iamsrk and @kajol for being the iconic trio of the 90s. The warmth shared on stage was beautiful, heartwarming, and nostalgic! 90s certainly was the best time for cinema for love, bonding, and togetherness!”
The night was extra special as Shah Rukh Khan returned to hosting Filmfare after 17 years, sharing the stage with Karan Johar and Maniesh Paul.
Kajol and Shah Rukh’s legendary pairing has left a lasting mark on Indian cinema.
